Valerie Johnson
is the owner and director of the Leesburg Dance Centre where she is also the tap instructor. Originally from Tampa, Florida, she started dancing at an early age. She was a member of the Florida Ballet Theatre for three years and the Tampa Jazz Company for one year.
Since then, she has studied with many accomplished masters of the dance world. She has taught at dance studios in Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She has also taught at Kids College and the Mt. Dora Center for the Arts.
Miss Valerie has been a member of Florida Dance Masters for 19 years and is a Florida Dance Masters certified teacher.
Miss Valerie's goal as both a teacher and studio owner is to instill a love of dance in all her students. She strives to make all her students feel special and ensures that each student not only develops as a dancer, but also as an individual with deserved self-esteem, personal courage, and strength.

Sally Gage
is currently in her 16th year as Ballet & Pointe instructor at Leesburg Dance Centre. Originally from Orlando, she received her early dance training from Edith Royal. Later, she studied with many world-renowned teachers, most notably Maggie Black. Upon completion of her Teacher Training in 1966, Miss Sally began teaching at the Royal School, where she remained for eight years. During those years she performed with the Ballet Royal, Florida Symphony Orchestra, and the Orlando Opera. She was an assistant choreographer and dancer for the Grand Opening of Disney World.
Miss Sally lived in New York City for four years where she continued teaching while working as both a performer and choreographer for dinner theater, musicals, and special events. She has been honored for her contribution to dance in the Caribbean, where she taught ballet and jazz in Haiti.
Several of Miss Sally's students have gone on to dance professionally throughout the United States. Some have also become teachers, choreographers, and company directors.
Miss Sally is the choreographer for the Melon Patch Theatre where she is currently working on her 21st production. Her work has also been seen on stage for the Mount Dora Theatre Company and the Bay Street Players. She is also a guest lecturer for Beacon College.
Miss Sally's classes stress posture, proper alignment, energy, strength, and musicality. Her passion for her art is instilled in her students through serious training and discipline as well as through her encouragement and happy atmosphere of learning.

Tiffany Rose-Mitchell
is our Jazz, Hip-Hop, Lyrical, and Modern instructor. She taught in Pittsburgh and Boston before coming to Leesburg. Her motto is "Never set limitations on the imagination."
Since the age of 2, dance has been the driving force and love of her life. She studied for many years with Miss Louise Vella of Pittsburgh. Miss Tiffany became a student-teacher at the age of 13 and began accepting choreography commissions while in high school. As a student, she won numerous dance awards and scholarships. She has danced professionally both in the U.S. and abroad. Her resume' includes performances at the Citrus and Liberty bowls as well as a variety of stage shows and parades at the Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland.
Locally, Miss Tiffany serves as choreographer for the Leesburg High School show choirs where her work has received a Superior Rating at the district and state levels. She has also contributed choreography to the Tri-City Twirlers, New Life Presbyterian Church, and several performing groups affiliated with The Villages.
The dance Miss Tiffany created for the Leesburg Dance Company's 2009 recital performance, 'Art is Life', was recognized for its innovative choreography by Dancer Magazine and was featured in their August 2009 issue.
This is Miss Tiffany's 9th year at the Leesburg Dance Centre. Dedication, love, and enthusiasm are the qualities she instills in her students along with passion, technique, and style.
