Celebrating Our 32nd Year of Excellence in Dance Education

​​     Over the past 32 years, the Leesburg Dance Centre, Inc. has trained hundreds of Lake County dancers. Guided by owner and teacher Valerie Johnson, the studio offers a safe, supportive, and non-competitive environment for dance students of all ages. We are pleased you have shown an interest in our studio.
     We believe the strength of dance, like that of other art forms, arises from the joy and satisfaction that become an integral part of every individual who experiences it. From a single, tentative step to a spot-lit solo, dance enriches the lives of those who perform and those who watch.
     The Centre’s teachers bring decades of experience, a passion for dance, and a love of teaching to all their students. Our teachers are well-educated in many styles of dance and love their art. As teachers, we attend dance conventions and take classes ourselves to stay abreast with innovations in our art. We pledge ourselves to providing quality instruction tailored to each student’s need and abilities.
     Beginning with creative movement classes for preschoolers, Leesburg Dance Centre offers classes in ballet and pointe, hip hop, jazz, lyrical, musical theater, contemporary, and tap techniques. The Centre’s graduates have been accepted into collegiate-level dance programs and professional companies throughout the United States.
     Leesburg Dance Centre begins classes on Monday, August 5, 2024.  Classes follow the Thanksgiving, Winter Break and Spring Break schedule of the Lake County public school system.
     We accept new beginning students through October . (We will consider new students based on their previous dance experiences until December)

Office Hours
These hours are separate from the class schedule. During these hours someone is available in the office to answer questions, take payments, etc.
